Christina Collins
MA, E-RYT 200Christina Collins is an integrative psychotherapist whose approach is rooted in treating the person rather than the problem. She is dedicated to the continued growth of her clients, helping them to thrive in their lives. Her therapeutic approach is founded in the psychodynamic and person-centered perspectives.
As a doctoral candidate in clinical psychology, Christina continues to educate herself on approaches to understanding how trauma and relational challenges affect her clients. Specifically, Christina draws from the NeuroAffectiveRelationalModel (NARM) the helps her clients understand patterns of connection and disconnection tied to early attachment experiences. Additionally, she is deeply informed by a Masters in Integral Theory which supports individuals from both a psychological lens and socio-cultural. Christina is passionate about helping her clients connect across diverse and adverse life experiences.
Outside of her psychotherapy practice Christina is a Psychology instructor at the University of Colorado Denver. She has spent many years studying philosophy, religion, mindfulness meditation, and is a longtime yoga practitioner and teacher. She believes in taking both an Eastern and Western perspective on mental health to best support her clients and students to find greater meaning in their lives.
